The most prominent areas for tourist in Bangkok include Silom (Patpong), Chatuchak, Siam, Pratunam, China Town, Sanamlung (Grand Palace), Sukhumvit, and Khaosan Road. By choosing hotels along the BTS (Sky Train) and MRTA (Underground Train) routes will give you an access to get to anywhere in Bangkok without wasting your time in the local traffic condition.

 

 

 

 

The BTS and MRTA maps can be picked up at the Suvarnaphumi Airport, hotels, and any local tourist attraction areas.

 

 

For some of the aforementioned attracted areas, if the BTS and/or MRTA cannot be reached, taxi meter, tuk tuk, local bus, and/or air-conditioned bus shall be your good choices of options to help you get to your place of destination. However, the riding charge SHALL NOT BE MORE THAN HUNDREDS BAHT from the closest station of BTS and/or MTR. For example, if you want to go to the Grand Palace, there is no BTS or MRTA route available to get to this place. You have to get out at Hua Lamphong Station or National Stadium Stadium for MRTA and BTS and take a taxi meter or tuk tuk to your destination. The riding charge from either of these two stations shall not be more than 200baht per ride. Bus number 25 and air-conditioned bus number 25 and 507 routing from Hua Lamphong to Sanamlung (Grand Palace) and bus number 47 routing from National Stadium to Sanamlung (Grand Palace) are other choices of option with the riding cost not more than 50baht per person.

 

To prevent any misunderstanding that might incurred, please ask the hotel front desk to write down the place where you would like to visit in Thai character, and show it to the driver for taxi and/or tuk tuk, or the fare collector for BTS, MRTA, local bus and/or air-conditioned bus; otherwise, you might end up in a place where the driver or fare collector want you to go instead of where you wnat to go. However, most of the tourist attraction areas have the direct access via BTS and/or MRTA station.
